I don't know how the hub and Wi-Fi work, but I've been living in this house for nearly six years and this has never happened before.
#MY COMPUTER IS MAKING A HIGH PITCHED NOISE FULL#
Last night I asked my housemates to switch off Internet and remove both cables from the hub for a night to check where the sound was coming from, and there was no a high pitched metallic sound, and I woke up full of energy, and in perfect health. Usually the noise gets worse in the evening and at night, and after sleep in such a terrible noise, in the morning I need to stay 30-60 minutes in the kitchen and garden before I feel good again, and the high pitched metallic noise will disappear from my ears. I'm not really sure how else to describe it. I've mainly noticed this on a game called League of Legends.

The weird thing is, it only makes the noise when I am playing a game, for instance if I tab out, the noise will stop and if I tab in it will start again. The sound is a very high pitched screeching-ish sound. I've noticed a high pitched whining noise that sounds like it is coming from the power supply/GPU, both being less than a month old. The second recording plays the sound that's consistently there while I have a game up and running. In the first recording there should be no sound at all. Now our hub constantly makes this high pitched metallic noise, after our Internet speed was upgraded on, just it can be annoying or unbearable (like for the last few hours) depending on the speed of the Internet as I noticed. I've sent the clips to numerous people, most of which couldn't hear the sound. If noise continues you may need to take the computer apart to do more cleaning of the fans. Another option is to shut your computer off and let it cool down. No, the hub is not overheating, and it's in a spacious room on the dresser. The high pitched noise may be due to your fans needing to be cleaned, try blowing air forwards and backwards through the fan.

If your computer starts to click, grind, or make any sort of low-pitched buzzing noise, you should stop what you’re doing and check the hard drive. I so hope that you will be able to help me! Let’s start with the most worrisome sound.
